I'm a Kentucky boy who loves carpentry and amateur farming. I'm also a crypto enthusiast who makes digital assets on the blockchain. I draw with a pencil, but I'm an expert in Adobe Creative Suite. I have an eye for video and photography and a long history of marketing experience. Art Director is the best term to describe what I do.
I've been obsessed with art and drawing since I was a toddler. Growing up, my schools didn't offer any art classes. Much to my teachers' chagrin, however, I did art anyway—non-stop—in Math, Science, History, English and Chemistry.
Upon graduating high school, I learned to paint and refine my drawing skills at Paducah Community College in Paducah, Kentucky.
Following a 2-year church mission in Slovakia, I returned to the states and worked for a t-shirt company in Lubbock, designing shirts for Texas Tech. There, I realized my graphic design skills were lacking, so I moved to Atlanta and attended the Art Institute, working my way through college as a prepress designer.
After college, I returned to Kentucky, landing a job at ZebraGraphics in Paducah. There I mainly did print design but transitioned into web as the industry evolved. A few years later, we opened a second office in Bowling Green, where I served as the manager for ten years, taking on the many responsibilities that running a business entails.
In 2017, I accepted a Marketing Strategist position with a 5-hospital network, where I did design, art direction and video editing. There I learned a great deal about corporate culture and the importance of good brand standards.
